Day 3: Roncesvalles to Zubiri

Taken at a sign right before leaving Roncevalles in the morning. It was crazy to see the huge crowd of pilgrims all leaving the albergue at 6 am

wetting our buffs in the fountain

This is the albergue that we are staying in tonight, and we are actually in a room with one of our pod-mates from yesterday! It is really fun to keep meeting people and then running into each other again later on. It was a VERY hard day today, and I will admit that on the way to Zubiri I thought about throwing in the towel and asking to be sent home. VALUABLE LESSON LEARNED: going downhill can infact be harder than going uphill.

After getting a leg massage at the spanish equivalent of a YMCA and a big meal i´m ready to go! Pamplona here we come!!!
